Travel Options Institute of Italian Studies recommends each student to travel with the group flight one way of the round trip. Students are offered a discounted rate on airfare with the option of transportation from the airport to their housing option depending on city and housing option. Tickets are issued with the opportunity of a change of date or open return. IIS will assist in these arrangements and also provide chaperon service from certain gateways to Italy. Gateways include Chicago and/or New York. Students are responsible for any domestic airfare to the gateway to meet the group flight. West coast students may meet the group flight at any of the above gateways. Restrictions and policies are according to the major airline carrier. Fares are discounted to meet competitive student fares and range from $600 - $900 round trip depending on the season and restrictions. Students receive in their packet a complete group flight information form, airfare payment form with an option for credit card payment. Also, students receive travel tips and final instructions for pre-departure, arrival, and returning to the states. |
